Aion is a special model from the Ophis Collection, interpreting time in the form of two intertwining snakes. Handcrafted in 14-karat rose gold, the design is completed with 0.18 ct of white diamonds in G color and VS–SI clarity, along with 0.04 ct of black diamonds, for a total of 0.22 ct of diamonds. The circular form created by two snakes facing each other symbolizes the infinite cycle where beginning and end are intertwined, transformation, and the continuity of time. While the white diamonds represent the light carried along this cycle, the black diamonds lend a stronger character to the snake’s intuitive and protective nature. In DOVIA mythology, Ophis is the star snake that guards the ancient wisdom left behind by civilizations. Aion, in turn, is the form that carries the “eternal time” of this story: while transmitting knowledge from the past to the future, it reminds us that every end transforms into a new beginning. Aion is a symbol of transformation, infinity, and starting anew without losing one’s own power.
STORY
Ophis
The snake is one of the oldest symbols in human history. From Mesopotamia to Anatolia, from Ancient Egypt to the civilizations of the Mediterranean, it has been revered as a symbol of wisdom, transformation, protection, and the cycle of life. Its shedding of skin and renewal have made it a symbol of rebirth and emerging stronger from change. In DOVIA mythology, Ophis is the star snake that guards the ancient wisdom left behind by civilizations. Its winding body represents the continuous flow of time, the stones represent the light carried through the darkness, and its silent, vigilant stance symbolizes intuition and protective power. Ophis reminds us to embrace transformation without fear of leaving the past behind, to trust our intuition, and to move forward while preserving our own power.
