CHELONIA NERISSA TURTLE GOLD BLACK DIAMOND EARRING

Nerissa is the diamond-set turtle of the Chelonia Collection, carrying the power within the darkness at the center of its shell. An ancient symbol of patience, protection, and moving forward while maintaining one’s own course in every circumstance, Nerissa is handcrafted from 14-karat rose gold. At the center of its round shell, a 0.22 ct black diamond is surrounded by 0.16 ct white diamonds in G color and VS–SI clarity, totaling 0.38 ct of diamonds. Black diamonds are associated with resilience, strong boundaries, mystery, and the power to remain steadfast at the center against external influences. The white diamonds form a sharp halo of starlight around the dark center, making the turtle’s protective form more pronounced and powerful. In DOVIA mythology, the turtle’s shell is not a place where one hides their vulnerability, but an ancient armor that protects and strengthens one’s essence. The black diamonds at Nerissa’s center are the sealed light of the lost star, which never fades even in the darkness of night, enshrined within this shell.

STORY

Chelonia Turtle

Throughout history, the turtle has been seen as a symbol of longevity, patience, protection, and ancient wisdom. What makes it strong is not its slowness, but its ability to move forward without deviating from its own rhythm. Its shell is not merely a refuge, but an integral part of its being—an ancient armor that protects its own center. In DOVIA mythology, Chelonia combines this ancient meaning with the light left by the fallen star. The star’s trace becomes a silent power hidden within the turtle’s shell, taking the form of a talisman that carries time and finds its way not with haste, but with determination.

Chelonia represents those who can preserve their own center amidst the noise of life, those who grow stronger through patience, and the spirit that knows how to shine in time. This collection portrays protection not as an external force, but as the resilience, balance, and ancient wisdom that one carries within themselves.
