Handcrafted in 14K rose gold, Papalotl comes to life with a total of 1.06 ct Smoky Topaz and 0.16 ct diamonds in G color and VS–SI clarity. Meaning “butterfly” in Nahuatl, Papalotl symbolizes the freedom that emerges after change, the renewal of the soul, and the transformation a person undergoes toward their true self. The journey from the darkness of the cocoon to the freedom of wings represents the threshold between the old self left behind and the reborn soul. The earthy tones of Smoky Topaz add strength, balance, a protective character, and the power to leave the past behind to the design. Sealed with the light of the DOVIA star, Papalotl is the symbol of the soul that passes through change and rediscovers its own strength and freedom.
Story
Butterfly
Butterfly is a symbol of elegance, joy, longevity, and the celebration of life. The journey from the caterpillar’s earthly appetite to the silence of the cocoon, and then to free wings, represents the transformation of a person’s thoughts, habits, and self. The cocoon symbolizes the inner change in which old boundaries dissolve, while the butterfly symbolizes the natural, pure, and free expression of the soul. As a person discovers their true self, they leave the weight of their past behind and fearlessly reveal the beauty within to the world. The butterfly’s graceful dance tells of the awareness and freedom that follow transformation, and of embracing life with joy once again. Sealed with the light of the DOVIA star, Butterfly symbolizes the moment a person sets the beauty within them free.
