Nirah is an exclusive DOVIA design that embodies the ancient transformative power of the snake in an elegant and sculptural form. Approximately 0.26 ct G-VS-SI white diamonds set on 14-karat rose gold trace the snake's winding body with light from head to tail, while the approximately 0.44 ct amethyst at the center of the design gives the piece a deep and mysterious character. Inspired by the ancient snake figure of Mesopotamia, the design represents renewal, intuition, protection, and the ever-changing cycle of life. The snake's body coiling upon itself symbolizes the never-ending movement of transformation, while the purple hue of the amethyst represents the inner and intuitive side of this journey. Nirah Amethyst is a symbolic talisman that reminds us to preserve our center amidst change, listen to our inner voice, and transform into a stronger version of ourselves by leaving the past behind.
STORY
Ophis
The snake is one of the oldest symbols in human history. From Mesopotamia to Anatolia, from Ancient Egypt to the civilizations of the Mediterranean, it has been revered as a symbol of wisdom, transformation, protection, and the cycle of life. Its shedding of skin and renewal have made it a symbol of rebirth and emerging stronger from change. In DOVIA mythology, Ophis is the star snake that guards the ancient wisdom left behind by civilizations. Its winding body represents the continuous flow of time, the stones represent light carried from the darkness, and its silent, vigilant stance symbolizes intuition and protective power. Ophis reminds us to embrace transformation without fear of leaving the past behind, to trust our intuition, and to move forward while preserving our own power.
