ALCYONE STAR GOLD DIAMOND SAPPHIRE NECKLACE

Alcyone is a powerful DOVIA design inspired by the brightest star of the Pleiades, the Seven Sisters, one of the oldest star stories in the sky. Crafted from 14-karat rose gold, the model comes to life with approximately 0.20 ct G-VS-SI white diamonds and a 0.48 ct sapphire at its center. The deep blue sapphire represents Alcyone’s luminous essence, which remains unchanged in the darkness, while the surrounding diamonds symbolize the starlight radiating from this center into the sky. The golden rays of varying lengths symbolize that true light is not hidden in a single point but spreads to its surroundings. In DOVIA mythology, Alcyone is the star of those who do not lose their own light in the shadow of others. The depth of the sapphire represents inner strength and knowing one’s way, while the clear sparkle of the diamonds symbolizes the courage to be seen. Alcyone reminds the wearer of their own center, of maintaining their direction even in the darkness, and that true brilliance is born from within.

STORY

The Star Alcyone

Alcyone is the brightest star of the Pleiades, the Seven Sisters, one of the oldest star stories in the sky. In mythology, she is told as one of the daughters of Atlas and Pleione; her place in the sky has become a symbol of preserving one’s own light over time, not losing one’s way, and continuing to shine even in the darkness. In DOVIA’s Alcyone design, the deep blue stone at the center represents the unchanging essence that a person carries within. The white diamonds spreading around it and the golden rays of varying lengths tell the story of the light born from this essence spreading into the world. Because true light is not a sparkle that comes from the outside; it is the power that emerges when a person finds their own center. Alcyone is the star of those who do not lose their own light in the shadow of others. It reminds the wearer of their direction; it symbolizes the courage to be seen, inner strength, and the will to continue shining even in the darkness.
