Handcrafted in 14K rose gold, Ishtar Star transforms the ancient eight-pointed Star of Ishtar into a powerful and magnificent form with the radiance of a 0.04 Ct G-VS-SI diamond. As the most majestic interpretation of the collection, the size S design makes the star’s rays radiating from the center more pronounced, giving the piece a powerful celestial character. In ancient Mesopotamia, Ishtar’s eight-rayed star was a symbol of love, desire, beauty, and power. Identified with Venus, Ishtar represented the light re-emerging from the darkness as both the morning and evening star. Her journey into the underworld and subsequent ascent transformed her star into a symbol not only of beauty, but also of transformation, rebirth, and humanity rediscovering its own power. DOVIA’s Ishtar Star S design brings this millennia-old symbol into the present day. Its eight rays represent love, magnetic power, inner strength, and ascent. Ishtar Star tells a story not just of wearing beauty, but of being the source of one’s own light and magnetic power.
STORY
Ishtar Star
In ancient Mesopotamia, Ishtar’s eight-rayed star was one of the most powerful symbols of love, desire, beauty, and power. Identified with Venus in the sky, Ishtar represented the light re-emerging from the darkness as both the morning and evening star. Ishtar’s story is not only about beauty, but also about rebirth. Descending into the underworld, she leaves her splendor behind, reaches the deepest point of darkness, and ultimately rises again. This is why her star is a symbol of rising again after a fall, remembering one’s own power, and recreating one’s light. DOVIA’s Ishtar Star design brings this ancient sign into the present day. Its eight rays symbolize love, magnetic power, transformation, and inner strength. Ishtar Star tells a story not just of wearing beauty, but of being its source.
