Nela, the ladybird of the Ladybird Collection, embodies luck, protection, and quiet transformation. In ancient beliefs, the ladybird was considered a harbinger of beautiful days to come, abundance, and wishes nearing fulfillment. Despite its small size, the protective meaning it carries makes it one of nature's most elegant talismans. In DOVIA mythology, the ladybird is the smallest yet most powerful protective form taken by starlight falling from the sky upon the earth; it arrives not with noise, but with elegance, announcing that silent moment when life begins to change course. Handcrafted in 14-karat rose gold, Nela features white diamonds totaling 0.22 ct in G color and VS–SI clarity, with black diamond details totaling 0.11 ct, for a total of approximately 0.33 ct of diamonds. It gains light from the 0.03 ct amethyst stone at its center. While the white diamonds on the ladybird's open wings symbolize hope, clarity, and pure light, the black diamond spots represent the yet-unrevealed secrets of destiny, protective power, and unseen forces. The central amethyst brings intuition, inner peace, and spiritual balance to the heart of the piece. It becomes a symbol of wishes, new paths, and beautiful possibilities quietly approaching. Each spot it carries is a wish waiting to come true, and each open wing whispers of a new path beginning beyond fears. Nela is luck in its most elegant form; a small protector sealed with starlight.
STORY
Ladybird
In ancient beliefs, the ladybird was considered nature's silent protector and a harbinger of beautiful days to come. With the invisible power it carries behind its tiny body, it protects gardens; it was believed that when it landed on a person, it was a sign of luck, abundance, and a wish nearing fulfillment. Its wings symbolized the fire of life, while the black spots on them symbolized the yet-unrevealed secrets of destiny. In DOVIA mythology, the ladybird is the smallest yet most powerful protective form taken by starlight falling from the sky upon the earth. It arrives not with noise, but with elegance; it announces that silent moment when life begins to change course. Each spot it carries represents a wish waiting to come true; its open wings represent a new path beginning beyond fears.
